Place large skillet on stovetop over low heat. Add ½ cup unsalted butter and 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream to skillet and whisk ingredients together gently until butter is melted and incorporated into cream.
When butter has melted, add 2 teaspoons minced garlic, 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper to skillet. Whisk to incorporate, then simmer mixture 1 minute, whisking constantly.
Remove skillet from heat. Add 2 cups grated parmesan cheese and 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese to skillet and whisk to incorporate, then return skillet to low heat.
Continue whisking until cream cheese and parmesan have melted completely and all ingredients are fully incorporated into creamy sauce.
Taste sauce and add garlic, red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, salt, and/or pepper as desired.
When satisfied with flavor, ladle prepared alfredo sauce over cooked pasta and serve immediately.
