What Makes This Recipe So Good

  • What’s not to love about a 5-ingredient recipe, especially when that recipe is a savory, spicy taco soup?! Don’t let the ingredients list fool you, though – this soup is absolutely full of flavor!
  • It’s super easy to make and comes together so quickly, clocking in around 30-40 minutes total, give or take a few. Perfect for busy weeknights or just any time you’re craving a low-effort and comforting meal!

Chef’s Tips

  • Since there aren’t many ingredients, make sure you use a salsa and a taco seasoning that you really love. They give the soup the majority of its flavor! If you don’t like the way they taste on their own, you won’t like the way they taste in this recipe.
  • Because it’s so simple, 5-ingredient taco soup is perfect for customizations. Swap out the ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, bison, or a combination of 2+ types of meat. Use a spicy salsa for more heat, or a mild salsa for less. Sprinkle in some crushed red pepper flakes, or try out different varieties of taco seasoning.
